Entrepreneurship Awareness Programme
Entrepreneurship Development Cell was established with AICTE-EDC grant-in-aid for an amount of Rs. 13.2 lakhs for the financial year 2010-2011 and 2011-2012.

Entrepreneurship Development Cell is conducting various activities like Entrepreneurship Awareness Program, Skill Development Program, I-Cube Contest for New ideas etc. every year by the members of TANSTIA, MADITTSIA, DIC etc..

Objectives of EDC
- To promote employment opportunities
- To introduce the concept of entrepreneurship in curricula at degree levels.
- To utilize technically trained manpower for the development of non-corporate and unorganized sectors
- To create an environment for self-employment
Activities envisaged
- To conduct Entrepreneurship Awareness/ Development Programmes on full time/part- time basis for final year students, alumni, educated unemployed and working professionals.
- To identify and provide solution for the problems of small business management & entrepreneurs.
- To support continuing education needs of personnel in areas of technology and management.
- To provide a platform to take-up 'Entrepreneurship' as an alternative career’.
EDC Activities
- Guest Lecturers are arranged for final year students to promote Entrepreneurship initiative.
- Mini project schemes in open house exhibition by students to enhance the ability of product design & innovation.
- MoU with certain organizations are made, to incorporate Entrepreneurship activities.
I-Cube Contest
Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC) of our Institution has conducted I-Cube Contest for the past four academic years (2012-2013, 2013-2014, 2014-2015 and 2015-2016). I-Cube Evaluation and Award ceremony event was conducted every successive year and will be conducted for the upcoming academic year 2016-2017. Many students from CSE/IT/ECE/EEE/Civil/MCA submitted their papers. The papers were selected by the all the HODs and senior faculties to present for “I-Cube contest”. Selected students presented their papers before the HODs/Senior faculties from various departments. First prize Rs.1,000/- and Second Prize Rs.500/- was given to the students of each department. Cash prize and Certificates were distributed to the students by our Principal, Dr.J.S.Gnanasekaran.
